The Pudai Monk was a Chinese deity in the form of a Buddhist monk with a beggar's sack on his back. He is the Chinese equivalent of the Tibetan Maitreya ' The Benevolent Buddha ' and is often represented as the ' Laughing Buddha '. A beautiful cold cast bronze / resin sculpture depicting a seated Buddha with cups in his hands.
