Archangel Gabriel's role is that of communicator between Heaven and Earth and is therefore known as the Messenger of God. The name means 'The Strength of God' and Gabriel is one of the most well known of the seven archangels who attend the throne of God. She is also the angel of childbirth and guides unborn souls until their birth. In some cultures, Gabriel is considered to be male.
