The Veiled Vestal / Maiden

A reproduction of the 'Veiled Vestal' statue sculpted in the 19th Century by Italian sculptor Raffaelle Monti (1818 - 1881) and often referred to as the Veiled Lady or the Veiled Bride. It portrays a young lady with a veil falling gently over her face held in place by a flowered headdress.  The full size marble statue is displayed at Chatsworth House.

Hand crafted using 90% white Italian Carrara marble; it's as close as you can get to the hand carved original – to both the eye and the touch. It forms part of our new range of some the finest reproduction marble sculptures available today.

The inscription on the base reads A. Filli, Firenze, Italy. We don't have information regarding this inscription.
