Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson (1758 - 1805) enrolled in the Navy at twelve years old and eventually became an English Admiral who rose to prominence in the Napoleonic Wars - most notably the Battle of Trafalgar where he perished. He became the greatest naval hero in the history of the United Kingdom and Nelson's Column which stands in Trafalgar Square in the centre of London was erected in his honour. This fabulous bonded marble bust has been hand crafted using 90% white Italian Carrara marble giving it an authentic look and feel. It's as close as you can get to the hand carved original – to both the eye and the touch. The inscription on the front reads 'NELSON' and the inscription on the back reads 'Fredericks'.
